Marketing Essentials is a small class size co-taught course. This unique approach allows teachers to cover more detailed and rigorous content while also having the ability to provide one-on-one instruction. The focus of this class is to hone a students existing skills in the digital arts or STEM while also exposing them to new practices, technologies and programs.

The marketing class's most basic function is to create all of the marketing materials (flyers, pamphlets, videos, etc.) needed by Ivy Hawn and its many programs. Beyond basic media creation student will have the opportunity to work in groups on the design, creation and promotion of concept products. Marketing fundamentals such as product design & development, branding, and advertising to target audiences will also play a role in your students experience in this marketing essentials course.
Grading
Projects: Graded according to Volusia County 2D Visual Arts standards. Written assignments: Graded according to Volusia County ELA standards. Weekly Participation: Graded based upon student participation, preparedness and behavior (no make-ups, participation grades are final). |
