unleash your creativity
This class is a high school level class, and for any 8th graders taking this class it will in fact count as a high school credit should they pass. The idea behind this class is two fold.
1. Provide students with the knowledge and tools they need to express their creativity through a digital medium.
2. Build the students knowledge base to a level sufficient enough to allow them to earn an industry certification. Earning an industry certification is not required to pass the class but will allow the student the option to opt-out of further testing in addition to a number of other assignments.

Adobe Photoshop is a computer based software program that allows the user to take a creative thought and turn it into a visual reality. The possibilities for what one can create are practically limitless. This class will act as an introduction to the program itself and quickly progress towards developing certification level skill sets. Students will learn through the completion of a number of projects in class and Gmetrix training & testing. Projects will always be completed and turned in on the individual level, they will never be completed as a group. Projects will be formatted one of two ways, they will either be direct instruction in a follow along style as I perform the tasks on the board or via online tutorial.
